Ragdoll Kittens
Information about Adopting an Eden-Lea Ragdoll Kitten
I raise my Ragdoll kittens in a natural way, as holistically as possible, and with much love and care. As I do things very differently from other breeders, I have a requirement that my new Ragdoll Kitten owners at least be interested in making an effort to keep their new kitten in a natural way.
I do NOT let my Ragdoll Kittens go to homes where I think they are likely to be vaccinated or fed mostly commercial dry or canned food. So you need to make it clear how you feel about this if you enquire. For more information, please visit my cat health area. While I realise that people will make their own decisions once they get their new kitten home, I try to place my Ragdoll Kittens where they will have the best possible chance for long and healthy lives.

I am initially only contactable by email, as this puts off the "normal" kitten buyers, who I prefer to look elsewhere for their kitten :-). Once I have established that you seem to be a good home for one of my Ragdoll Kittens, we can chat on the phone and you will be given my phone number. I remain available for the life of your new Ragdoll Kitten for any help and advice I am able to give.
PRIOR to any enquiry, please make sure to visit my cat health pages, in particular the cat food and vaccination pages. Enquiries about kittens seem to come all at once, and I give priority to those who let me know that they have looked at and understand the information on food and vaccinations, and are wanting a naturally raised Ragdoll Kitten.

My Ragdoll Kittens are available from around 12 weeks old, depending on each individual kitten's growth and personality. They are thoroughly Vet checked, de-sexed, registered & pedigreed with the Qld Independant Cat Council (QICC). Kittens are also thoroughly potty trained, flea and worm free, and microchipped.
Cost of Ragdoll Kittens: All pet male Ragdoll Kittens are $650, and females are $700. A deposit of $150 is required to hold your chosen Ragdoll Kitten.
What you get: With your new Ragdoll kitten comes a comprehensive Kitten Information pack. These files are also emailed out to you upon a deposit being received, so you can prepare well in advance. Also included in your Kitten Pack is a small basic kitten litter tray, a sample of the kitty litter your new Ragdoll Kitten is used to, a couple of meals of fresh/frozen food (not included if kitten is shipped), a cuddly with the smells "of home", and a few favourite homemade toys. Paperwork - including a 4 generation pedigree chart with kitten's & parent's colour photos.

Vaccinations: Eden-Lea Ragdoll kittens are not given the standard vaccinations, please click here to read why. In lieu, they are given initial Homeopathic Nosodes using Irene de Villier's recommended protocol. This gives natural immunity a boost, and does not tear the immune system down and cause health problems in the long term - as chemical vaccinations do.
De-sexing: All Eden-Lea Ragdoll Kittens are de-sexed prior to leaving home, this is not negotiable.
Visiting Ragdoll Kittens: My Ragdoll Kitten are raised inside my home, and for a number of reasons, I no longer have kitten visitors inside our house - for any reason at all. I learned very early on that it is unwise to have strangers, their friends, family and children running around in amongst our home and possessions. Therefore, I do not have visits to young kittens - kittens are only able to be visited after they have been spayed/neutered and are all ready to leave for their new homes. They are taken outside specially for the visit.

Shipping: I prefer NOT to ship young kittens. I will only consider it if you particularly want a Holistically raised Ragdoll Kitten, as of course you won't find one elsewhere. Dogtainers are my preferred transport company, you can phone or email them for a price. Please note: I only use the Gold Coast (Coolangatta) Airport, so you would need to check if there are direct flights from Gold Coast Airport to where you live.
As a general rule of thumb, boys do tend on the whole to be more cuddly and affectionate than girls, although they are of course, all individuals, so it varies from cat to cat. A neutered Ragdoll male will not spray.
If you already have a female cat, it is safest to choose a male kitten/cat as sometimes a female will object to another female invading her territory, and this may cause ongoing dramas.
